Next week, Sunday the 7th June, is the first of our compulsory training sessions for anyone interested in making the AUG team. Attendance will be marked from this day onwards. It is also compulsory for anyone playing on the SUG A team because we need to start running through things as a team. As it is the long weekend, anyone else who does not fit into this category may have the weekend off - study for exams ;)
Sunday June 14th is the Kings and Queens Hat tournament on the fields where we train. It will start at 9am (or soon after) and it a GREAT tournament. you get to meet lots of awesome people, and its really fun. If you didnt put your name down at training today but would still like to play, fill out the registration form. The cost is $15 and that covers the tournament fees, lunches and prizes.
Sunday June 21st will be back to a normal training session. 3pm at the Monash Sports Fields.
Sunday June 28th is compulsory training for those playing SUG (this does not include those who aren't playing SUG but are interested in playing AUG). Everyone else will have June 28th and the following Sunday, July 5th, off.
Sunday night, July 5th, we are having a trivia night. It will be a great night with lots of cool prizes and it would be great if some of you guys could get together and form a table. More details to follow but keep the night free!
July 6-8 is SUG. News on the second team will be announced very soon. The tournament is being held in Mentone, full details on the Unigames page. The social program should be announced soon also and when that is, it'll be posted here.
August 15-16 - compulsory training camp for the people selected to be on the AUG squad. It's a long way off but we just want to let everyone know so they can keep the dates free.
Soon - we will be getting hoodies and uniforms, everyone is welcome to purchase 1 or both of these. More details will follow in the next few weeks.

MUF Y continued their winning start to the Winter season of Div.2 with a good win over OK Campers on Monday night, final score: 13-7.
The next round of league is on Monday, June 1st. Games are on for both teams at 8:30pm

The Southern Uni Games (SUG) is being held in Melbourne on Monday 6th to Wednesday 8th of July, and the Monash Ultimate Frisbee Club is entering a team. Universities from South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania will compete as a prelude to AUG in September.
The cost will be $110 for the whole tournament.As we need to register a team by next Friday (5th June) could those that want to be considered in playing please send Ashleigh an email
For new players - SUG is a great way to get some experience playing at a higher level than trainings and you will improve your skills, knowledge of the game, fitness and there is always a fun time to be had with the social activities!
Also, if you want to be considered for the AUG team later in the year, then this a good way to impress the selectors!
Experienced players - we need a strong team this year, as where we finish at SUG will act as seeding for AUG. So we encourage you to play!
Once you have received confirmation from the Committee that you will be playing SUG, this is how you register and pay:
- Go to - https://secure.unigames.com.au/login.asp
- Then you will have to pay, either BPay or credit card
- If you have played before, you will have a login, if not, register as a new user
- You will then have to enter details about yourself, uni ID number etc.
- Then you will have to say you are registering for "SUG 09" (not any of the other comps)
- Then tick the box "Ultimate Frisbee"
- Then say - mixed, team 1

Congratulations to MUF X which started off their Div.2 season of league at Albert Park with a close win over Pirates Hearts Ninjas, final score of 12-11.
MUF Y won by forfeit over LaTrobe Uni who were unable to get their organised in time for the first round of league (poor form!!).
Hopefully all of the new recruits had a good time and got something out of their matches last night. Be it scoring their first goal, learning to play zone or playing as a popper on zone offense.
Round 2 is next Monday (May 25th), MUF X (Seb's team), has a bye. MUF Y (Ashleigh's team) has a game against OK Campers at 7pm. I think we'll be trying to give each team a name very soon to make it less confusing.
